The Story Behind the Lens
Before filmmaking, there was skateboarding.
Boaz Aquino spent his early years immersed in skate culture, eventually turning professional and building a career around movement, timing and instinct. Along the way, a camera became part of the process—first documenting the culture around him, then creating visual content for the brands that supported it.
That perspective never left.
Today, Boaz brings the same sense of movement, precision and spontaneity to filmmaking. His work lives at the intersection of culture, music, fashion, events and lifestyle, combining a street-informed point of view with polished cinematic storytelling.
Over more than a decade behind the camera, he has directed, filmed and edited work for brands and collaborators including Vans, Adidas, Corona, Stella Artois, Jeremy Scott, Born X Raised, RVCA, HUF, HUF, Stüssy, Simon Miller and others, while also working with recording artists across multiple genres.
Now based in South Florida, Boaz works across the entire creative process from concept and production through the final edit—creating work that feels immediate, intentional and connected to culture.
His style developed at the intersection of documentary realism and high-fashion editorial. By blending the organic textures of industrial interiors with the sharp precision of modern optical glass, Aquino Media created a visual language that speaks to both authenticity and aspiration. Influenced by the syncopation of jazz and the calculated aggression of skate culture, every edit is a deliberate act of storytelling that prioritizes feeling over standard convention.
